Build with purpose

At CanvasHug, development is about creating websites and small web applications that balance design and function. Every project is planned carefully from the start and supported after launch to make sure everything runs smoothly.

We focus on marketing sites, online stores, and small-scale web apps or MVPs. These are ideal for testing ideas or streamlining internal processes. For large, data-heavy platforms that require complex custom development, we’ll help you find a specialist who’s a better fit.

1. Planning

Each project begins with shaping its direction. Before we dive into design or code, we take the time to figure out how your website or app should be structured. This includes choosing the right tools, setting up the CMS, and organizing data so it’s easy to manage later on.

Most projects combine design and development in one process. While we can handle development-only projects, we rarely take them on unless the designs provided are detailed enough to ensure a smooth build.

2. Development

With designs approved, development begins. We use modern no-code and low-code tools that allow fast, precise building without adding unnecessary complexity.

Frontend

The frontend is where your website or app comes to life. It’s more than just making things functional—it’s about creating smooth, engaging experiences that feel right to use.

We build three main types of projects:

  • Marketing websites: Custom-built with Webflow or Framer for high performance and strong visuals.

  • Online stores: Built on Shopify for secure payments, reliable ecommerce tools, and easy daily management.

  • Small web applications: Perfect for MVPs or internal tools that automate processes or test new ideas.

For large-scale, complex platforms (think big social networks or enterprise-level applications), we’ll recommend specialists who can handle that level of development.

Backend

Most projects don’t need a heavy custom backend. Instead, we use secure, proven services that are easy to manage and scale with your needs:

  • Webflow or Framer CMS for content management.

  • Shopify for ecommerce operations.

  • Bubble or custom code for small apps that handle both frontend and backend.

  • Stripe for payments and subscription management.

  • Airtable or Google Sheets for simple, flexible databases.

This approach keeps projects efficient, affordable, and straightforward to maintain.

3. Content Integration

Adding and organizing content can slow projects down, so we’ve made it simpler.

  • A shared Notion portal keeps all your text, images, and assets neatly organized.

  • We help structure content so it fits naturally with your new site or app.

  • Training sessions are available to walk you through updating and managing content on your own, giving you full control without needing ongoing help.

4. Testing and QA

Adding and organizing content can slow projects down, so we’ve made it simpler.

  • A shared Notion portal keeps all your text, images, and assets neatly organized.

  • Training sessions are available to walk you through updating and managing content on your own, giving you full control without needing ongoing help.

Internal review:

  • We run checks for functionality, design accuracy, and performance.

  • Bugs and adjustments are tracked in Notion, making them easy to follow and resolve.

Client review:

  • You’ll receive staging links to see progress throughout development.

  • A shared feedback tracker helps manage comments and changes clearly.

  • Multiple review rounds are done if needed to refine the final product.

5. Post Launch

Once your site or app is live, the focus shifts to making sure it performs well and that your team feels confident managing it.

Documentation & Training

In the final week of the project, we schedule a full training session to review the site or app together. This session covers how everything is set up, how to make updates, and how to manage daily operations.

Along with training, you’ll receive clear documentation and tutorial videos to reference anytime you need a refresher.

Post-launch Optimization

In the first 1–2 weeks after launch, we keep a close eye on how the site or app is running. If anything needs fine-tuning—like improving load speeds or adjusting small user experience details—we handle it quickly.

Bug Fixes

Even with thorough testing, small issues can sometimes appear after going live. We work closely with you to spot and fix these quickly. A shared bug tracker in Notion makes reporting and resolving issues simple and transparent.

Performance Review

We review performance metrics, checking factors like page load times and user interactions. This helps us identify where the site or app could be improved further to deliver a smoother experience.

Ongoing Support

Support doesn’t end after launch. We stay available to answer questions, guide you through updates, and help with any small adjustments you may need as you settle into using your new site or app. The goal is a smooth transition where you feel fully supported.
